TUKTU PROJECT
In September 2009, as part of Advanced Explorations' summer mapping and prospecting program, the company discovered a massive banded iron formation (BIF) within 60 kilometres of the Roche Bay Project and within 45 kilometres of the ocean.

The new iron ore discovery has been named 'Tuktu' , the inuit word for 'caribou', and 11 claims have been staked covering approximately 22,000 hectares of previously unexplored land on the Melville Peninsula.
